Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. All processing happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images and logo never leave your device.

Can I add both text and a logo at the same time?

Yes. Select "Text + logo" and configure each independently — size, color, opacity, rotation and position apply to both.

What does the Tile position do?

Tile repeats the watermark across the entire image in a diagonal grid. It is the hardest layout to crop or remove, so it is popular for protecting previews and stock photos.

Will the watermark look good on both light and dark photos?

Use the opacity slider and pick a contrasting color. For text on busy backgrounds, white with 70–80% opacity usually reads well. Logos with transparent PNG backgrounds adapt best.

Can a watermark be removed?

A visible watermark can be removed, but the effort required depends on placement. A small corner watermark is trivial to crop. A tiled watermark across the whole image is nearly impossible to remove without destroying the image. For serious protection, combine a tiled watermark with a DMCA takedown strategy.

What font should I use for a text watermark?

Sans-serif fonts (Inter, Helvetica, Arial) are the most legible at small sizes. Avoid decorative fonts — they become unreadable when scaled down and look unprofessional. The tool uses a system sans-serif font, which is a safe default.
