What does Fit inside vs Fill & crop mean?

Fit inside scales the image down to fit within your target dimensions without cropping. Fill & crop scales and crops to match the target area exactly. Stretch forces exact dimensions, potentially distorting the image.

Can I resize many images at once?

Yes. Drop as many as you need, set your options, and click Resize All. The tool processes them one by one and you can download them individually or all together.

Does resizing affect image quality?

Downscaling generally preserves quality well. For JPEG and WebP the quality slider controls the trade-off between size and fidelity — 80–90 is a good balance. PNG is lossless.

What happens if I upscale an image?

Upscaling cannot add detail that was not there. It only stretches existing pixels, which produces soft or blurry results. For genuine upscaling, use a dedicated AI upscaler (Topaz, Real-ESRGAN). This tool is designed for downscaling.

Does resizing strip EXIF metadata?

Yes. The Canvas API used for resizing does not preserve EXIF data — GPS coordinates, camera model, timestamps, and orientation tags are removed. This improves privacy but means you lose that information. Downscaling also typically rotates images to their correct orientation automatically.
