Compare Text
Compare two texts or code snippets by line, word, or character — differences are highlighted right in the text. Three comparison modes and two layouts for line-level diff: Split and Unified.
How to use
Paste the original text
Put the first version in the left panel.
Paste the modified text
Put the second version in the right panel.
Pick the granularity
Lines for code and configs, Words for prose, Chars for when individual characters matter.
Read the highlights
Added fragments are highlighted in green, removed ones in red. The result updates as you type.
Features
Three comparison modes
Line-level, word-level, or character-level — switch in one click. Pick the mode that fits the task: code is easier to compare line by line, while IDs and serial numbers make more sense character by character.
Real-time difference highlighting
Added fragments in green, removed in red. The result updates immediately — no Compare button to press.
Split and Unified views
Line mode offers two layouts: parallel columns or a single stream with +/- markers, just like a git diff.
Diff inside the line
In Words and Chars modes you see exactly what changed inside the line — down to a single character. Only the differences are highlighted; the rest of the text stays untouched.
Works with code and prose
Processes text as-is — equally good for code, JSON, config files, articles, contracts, and any other text.
Change statistics
Counters at the top show how many lines, words, or characters were added and removed. The metric adapts to the selected mode.
Swap and clear
The Swap button flips the two texts, Clear resets both fields. Both act instantly.

- Compare two revisions of a document or contract
- See what changed between two versions of a code file
- Diff JSON or config files across environments
- Review edits between drafts of an article
- Find the mismatch between two long numbers, IDs, or hashes
